We left dinner simmering on the stove and ran to capture the light at a particular location.
We were taking photos for a commercial assignment, and took advantage of the delicious light for a quick portrait of my bride.
She needs a relaxed portrait for work, and I aim to please.
Tip: When the sun is shining, as it is in this photo, have your subject squeeze their eyes shut as you guide them into the right position for light. Then, quick as a bunny, have them open on a count of 3 and you snap like crazy. This is the first frame of two I took as Karen opened her eyes. Not perfect, but it’s a bazillion times better than the previous, squinty ones!
