From yesterday’s wedding of my son Chris and his bride, Jennie.

Taken by my super brother-in-law, Mike, who did a brilliant job at helping to capture the moments.

I had promised myself that I would not take any photos during the ceremony. I wanted to be in the moment, with my bride, my Karen.

It worked out well.

We had a superbly talented photographer, who’s work I fell in love with via Flickr. Katya goes by the name of SlightClutter on Flickr and elsewhere. I’m so grateful that she came to help us celebrate by capturing those precious memories in print.

Tom, my Karen’s father, Chris’ grandfather,is sensitive to the damage that years of golfing have done to his skin. Once the sun popped out from the storm clouds, it was a mighty source of rays on all of us.

I love the image here, with Chris and Jennie’s wedding program, which has their engagement photo on the cover being used as a sun-shade.
