I’m sure the Grammar Teachers among us could improve on the sentence above!
I used one of Karen’s black jackets - a nice velvety one. I propped up the neck and arm end of the jacket with a nice coffee-table-sized book on gardening.
I used our ironing board as a stage, with my camera on a short tripod, perched on top of a sewing basket for more height.
I set the camera for ISO 100, f22 and a 20 second exposure, started with a 10 second timer delay. I used my trusted Pentax SMC FA 50mm 1.4 lens.
I took my strobe and set it for 1/16th power and popped it three times. One on either side of the basket and one above and slightly to the front.
The result, gives the basket an almost 3 dimensional look to my eyes. It pops out from the black with full color and depth.
Brennah was a beautiful flower girl, as befits a beautiful bride.
It’s hard to choose which sunset photo to pick as my photo of the day, this one or this one.
I chose this one.
I like the deeper colors that draw my attention beyond the foreground wires and poles.
Taken while driving, out my car window.
This time, I was at a stoplight.
Right before I turned right, I grabbed this capture.
Nature over all.

Chris & Jennie
After the tradition of cutting their wedding cake and feeding a bite to each other.
I asked for a kiss.
I got a good one.
My son, his bride, in love.
I snuck some photo time in during the reception.
I broke a lens, but not on this one. I put my trusty and amazing 50mm 1.4 on. It came through for me as usual.
I love to photograph those in love. =)
Taken by my super brother-in-law, Mike, who did a brilliant job at helping to capture the moments.
I had promised myself that I would not take any photos during the ceremony. I wanted to be in the moment, with my bride, my Karen.
It worked out well.
We had a superbly talented photographer, who’s work I fell in love with via Flickr. Katya goes by the name of SlightClutter on Flickr and elsewhere. I’m so grateful that she came to help us celebrate by capturing those precious memories in print.
Tom, my Karen’s father, Chris’ grandfather,is sensitive to the damage that years of golfing have done to his skin. Once the sun popped out from the storm clouds, it was a mighty source of rays on all of us.
I love the image here, with Chris and Jennie’s wedding program, which has their engagement photo on the cover being used as a sun-shade.
Mike caught a great one here!

Kasey & Mandy
I asked Mandy to take her veil and put it over her face.
I asked Kasey to slowly un-veil his bride, then give her a romantic kiss.
I love the look in her eyes as she gazes at the love of her life.
Isn’t taking photos so much fun!?
